St James the Great, Haydock

We'd like to welcome you to our beautiful church, to join with us in worship and in our various social activities.

We have a number of rooms available for hire at reasonable rates.

The Parish Room is adjacent to the church and can be accessed either from the church building itself or directly from the car park. There is a ramp which makes it easy for wheelchair users to enter. This warm and friendly room is suitable for meetings (its capacity when arranged theatre-style is up to 60 people) or for lunches and suppers using rectangular tables (capacity up to 40 people). This facility has a fully equipped kitchen with serving hatch. There are modern toilet facilities, including a toilet cubicle suitable for wheelchair users.

Our Parish Centre is located on the side of the parking area opposite to the church itself. Here we have an ante-room giving on to a large hall equipped with a substantial stage at one end. Theatre-style, this hall will accommodate up to 100 people seated. Using rectangular tables a meal setting for up to 70 people can be achieved. A linking corridor within the facility gives access to modern toilet facilities (including a cubicle suitable for wheelchair users) and also to a modern fully equipped kitchen.
